Automotive Aluminum Castings & Powertrain Parts

Overview

Hiyet supplies powertrain and chassis castings for EV, hybrid and conventional vehicles. Our flagship 5052-T5 motor protection shells combine excellent strength-to-weight with full corrosion resistance, safeguarding traction motors against impact, moisture and road chemicals.

Transmission housings cast from A356-H32 deliver the toughness needed for repeated power-transfer cycles, while ADC12 die-cast ECU enclosures provide tight tolerances and EMC-friendly geometry. Every program is validated through IMDS, PPAP and 100% dimensional CMM inspection on critical features.

Why automotive OEMs source from Hiyet

Our automotive line is staffed by engineers who came from tier-1 suppliers — they know what your customers will ask in the audit. Every line is APQP-managed, with PFMEAs reviewed before tooling release. Material traceability is at heat-number level, and we ship CMM and material certs with every container, no surcharge.

We typically support cost-down workshops on mature programs — 8–15% savings are common through wall-thickness optimization, runner re-design, or alloy substitution to lower TCO without compromising performance.

Typical applications

E-axle motor housings
Inverter cases
ECU & BMS enclosures
Transmission cases

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you handle IMDS and CDX submissions?

Yes. Our automotive QA team prepares full IMDS data sheets and CDX submissions as part of the PPAP package, including third-party material analysis if needed.

What's your typical PPAP lead time?

Level 1 = 1 week post-production; Level 3 with full capability study = 3–4 weeks post-trial. Level 5 on-site reviews are scheduled as needed.

Do you support cast-in inserts?

Yes — brass nuts, steel sleeves, helicoils and oil-resistant thread inserts are routinely cast in to reduce secondary machining.

Can you produce prototypes before tool-up?

Yes. Rapid sand-cast or 3D-printed sand-mold prototypes ship in 10–14 days; aluminum/silicone bridge tools for 50–500 pcs in 3 weeks.
