Hiyet passes IATF 16949 surveillance audit with zero non-conformances
Hiyet Metal's automotive production lines have successfully completed the 2026 IATF 16949 surveillance audit conducted by SGS, with zero major and zero minor non-conformances raised.
The audit, conducted at our Beilun facility on April 28–30, covered all production cells running automotive programs, the engineering office, the metrology lab and the documentation control room. The lead auditor reviewed FMEA documentation, process control plans, MSA studies, on-line SPC charts and recent customer complaint records (we had none in the 12-month review window).
What was assessed
IATF 16949 surveillance audits are intentionally broader than annual recertification. The auditor selected three live programs as deep-dive samples — one EV motor housing program, one transmission case program, and one ECU enclosure — and traced each from drawing release through PFMEA, control plan, run-at-rate validation, PPAP and shipping.
- Document control: traceability from CAD revision to mold revision to capability study
- Process control: real-time MES logs of die temperature, shot weight, hold time and cycle time for the last three months
- Measurement systems: gauge R&R studies for all CTQ features, with operator-to-operator variation under 10%
- Calibration: every measurement instrument current with last calibration date within tolerance
- Customer specific requirements: validation that supplier portals (IMDS, CDX) are updated within 5 business days of change
Why this matters
A zero-NC outcome — at the surveillance stage, with the SGS auditor visibly stress-testing the system — is a credible indicator for buyers that Hiyet's quality system is not a paperwork exercise. The audit certificate, available on request, is filed under registration number CN-IATF-2024-HM-018.

The next IATF surveillance audit is scheduled for April 2027. Full recertification is in May 2028.
What's next
With the surveillance closed, the quality team is now preparing for AS9100D pre-assessment scheduled for Q3 2026, supporting our growing aerospace and UAV customer base. We continue to invest in real-time SPC dashboards and material traceability tooling across non-automotive lines as well.
